Slats¶
Please check the settings for the 'Pleated' blind types:
The table's description can be held in Administration > System Tables > Slat Description.
There are two other tables that need to be set to ensure this will work.
The first is the ‘Pleat Table’ which is held in Administration > System Tables > Venetian Slats.
This table determines how many pleats there are according to the drop of the blind.
The second table that has to be set up is Cord spacing, which is held in the Blind Details menu.
This determines where the punch holes are made in the headrail.
The logic is the same as that for a Venetian blind ie there is an initial space which is the width from the edge of the blind to the first cord, and then a field to determine the maximum gap.
Create a new sales order for the 'Pleated' blind type:
Please check the ‘Work Order – Label 5’ layout as an example where you can see the ‘No Of Pleats’ values.
There is a way to specify the pleat tab according to the fabric, please see below:
Pleat Table Lookup
We can now hold a pleat table against pleated fabrics (although this can be null).
This is because a different number of pleats can be used for different fabrics for the same drop.
The program still looks at the blind type record to find the correct pleat table, but now also looks in the fabric record to see if there is a pleat table there.
Please check the settings for the 'Vertical' blind types:
Pleat Table Calculation
At the moment the system can find the number of pleats for a blind by looking in the blind type record and also looking in the stock item record. The latter takes precedence.
There is now a further option that is accessed depending on an option choice. This will work in exactly the same way as the headrail slat table functionality works.
The following functionality has been added:
1. There is a new code description in the table ‘Option Names’ (in Administration > System Tables) called ‘Pleat Calc’.
2. There is a new table ‘Pleat Calc Options’. This contains the option choice (stock item) and the pleat table.
3. If an option is set to ‘Pleat Calc’ and that option is chosen, the program now looks in table ‘Pleat Calc Options’ to find the correct pleat table to use. This will then take precedence over the other two pleat tables.
System Tables > Venetian Slats > Pleated Charts
There is a new field in the 'Product Blind Type' tab of the stock record called 'Pleat Table'.
This only appears if the stock record has blind identifier = Pleated and link option = Fabric.
If this field is filled, then it will select the number of pleats from this pleat table.
