Department Nominal Codes for Stock Items¶

The ‘Department Nominal Codes for Stock Items’ system table is used to set up nominal codes by stock items and departments.

This means that a user can define a nominal structure according to what stock items are used by branch or department.
If departments are used but no records are set up here, the nominal code will be selected from the stock item record.
If a matching record exists in this table when a component detail line is entered, the relevant nominal code is selected from this table, providing there is a match for department and stock item.
