Customer Class

Customer class codes are used to divide customers into different classes, so discounts may be applied by customer class. For example,
if you have a batch of customers who get 20% discount off a blind type, rather than set up a discount record for each customer, you can
set up one customer class discount record to handle this. The class code is a 1 digit alphanumeric field and the description is a 50 digit field.

In order to specify a discount rate for a certain customer class, a user should check a ‘Class’ field in Pricing > Discounts > Add > Class.

Then, if to press the ‘Amend’ button, the ‘Discount’ form will appear. In this form, a customer class, a discount percent and other parameters
may be specified.

The ‘Customer Class’ field in the ‘Customers’ form (Sales Files > Customers > Details > Customer Class) refers to this table. A user may select
a customer class from a drop down list.

The set up classes will then be the criteria for making certain reports (e.g. ‘Sales Analysis by Customer Class by Customer’).

There is the flag in the ‘Customer Class’ record called ‘Exclude from Statement’ which defaults to false. If it is set to true, then a statement
(in Sales Files > Reports > Statements) will not print for customers in that customer class.
