This is used to calculate cord spacing measurements for Venetian, Pleated, Wood and Roman blinds.
This would often be referred to as ladder web spacing in Venetian blinds.
It determines where the vertical cords should be placed on the blind and also how many of them there will be.
The cord spacing for a blind that is 1080 wide with the first cord at 150mm and the maximum spacing of 400mm will be calculated in the following format: 150-390-390-150.
Please note that it is possible to have multiple records for a blind type.
This is because the cord spacing rules are determined by the width of the blind.
If the norm is that the first cord appears at 150mm and the maximum spacing between cords is 400mm, this will not make sense for a blind that is only 390mm wide.
It would mean the cord spacing would be 150-90-150, which would not look right.
There are three fields that must be filled in:
First Cord: this is the distance from the edge of the blind to the point where the first cord will appear.
Maximum Spacing: this is the largest distance there can be between cords (or ladder cords).
Maximum Width: this is the maximum width of blind to which this record will apply.
It is possible to configure the cord spacing in depends on the option chosen.
You can add more than one row in the 'Cord Spacing' table for one blind type but with different spacing values.
Also, these rows can have an 'Option Code' for each line.
Please note that if you need to show the cord spacing values in the WO layouts then the 'Print Crease Lines' flag should be ticked in the 'Blind Type Amend' for the 'Roman' blind identifier and 'Show Cord Spacing' flag for the 'Venetian'blind identifier.
Please check the 'Works Order - Label Blind Size' layout as an example below:
