Components¶

As well as being used for blind order processing, Blindata can also be used for selling stock and components.
Stock records can be set up in Stock Setup > Stock Details. The following fields are relevant.

Measurement Unit: this can be set to Quantity, Metres, Yards or Feet.
Unit Selling Price: this is the unit selling price.
Unit Cost Price: this is the unit cost price (again, in this case per metre).

The ‘Unit Of Sale’ value is a quantity/form of the product that we are selling, the fields can be entered in Administration > System Tables > Unit Of Sale.

The ‘Unit Of Sale’ can be held against the stock record, with a default flag for the standard unit.

Please note that the 'Default' flag means that this price from two the same 'Price Table' will be selected.

If you need to set up component's discount for the customer, please use the 'Customers > Product Discount' tab

Component Detail Line Entry

The stock item / component can be selected by description or code. Once this is done, the quantity and unit of sale can be entered.
Depending on how the above tabs are set up, the selling price may be adjusted.
