Box Blind

The following has to be set up before box blind orders can be processed.

1. In Blind Details > Blind Types, create a new Blind Type and set the flag to Box Blind=true:

You must also set up an option called ‘Box Blind in the ‘Option Setup’ tab.

2. In Administration > System Tables > Option Names, create a record called ‘Box Blind’ and make sure its code is set to ‘Box Blind’.

3. In Administration > System Tables > Box Blinds, create the records that map the blind type, colour, width and drop to the correct stock code.

4. In Administration > System Tables > Box Blind Minimum Width, create records that will hold the minimum and maximum width for each blind type and box width (one record is required for each width of pre made blind).

5. In Administration > System Tables > Box Blind Slat, create one record to hold the following for each ‘box blind’ blind type.

6. Create a dummy Fabric with Link Option=Fabric and any Calculator.

7. We now need to assign the stock items (which are the actual box blinds) to the system. Create several stock items with LinkOption = Box Blind and the Calculator = Box Blind.

Make sure you remember to set a ‘Product Blind Type’ for each item.

We are now ready to enter an order.
When the blind is entered, it should select automatically the box blind that is required for the blind type, colour, width and drop you have entered.

When you print out the works order document, you can see the box blind you need to select, and also the amount to be trimmed and the number of slats to add/remove.

Automatic selection of boxes according to the size of the blind type (blind detail) can be customized in the 'Blind Type > Link Option' either:
